Woodland Hills , CA based video game developer is seeking a full time Environment Modeler Responsibilities include:

  • Create art assets using Photoshop, Maya and our proprietary art tools
  • Create textures from scratch and photo texture layering from our in-house library
  • UV mapping
  • Prop and decal placement

  Requirements:

  • Ability to model polygonal world geometry from concept art  
  • Ability to build geometry in a modular manner best suited for reuse in a variety of different environments
  • Proficiency in Maya
  • Industry experience and at least 1 shipped-title  
  • Familiarity with next-generation techniques
  • BFA in Painting/3D art or similar background/traditional training  

Pluses

  • Strong architecture or traditional art background (B.A. or equivalent degree preferred.)
  • Solid texture painting skills
