Woodland Hills , CA based video game developer is seeking a full time Environment Modeler Responsibilities include:
- Create art assets using Photoshop, Maya and our proprietary art tools
- Create textures from scratch and photo texture layering from our in-house library
- UV mapping
- Prop and decal placement
Requirements:
- Ability to model polygonal world geometry from concept art
- Ability to build geometry in a modular manner best suited for reuse in a variety of different environments
- Proficiency in Maya
- Industry experience and at least 1 shipped-title
- Familiarity with next-generation techniques
- BFA in Painting/3D art or similar background/traditional training
Pluses
- Strong architecture or traditional art background (B.A. or equivalent degree preferred.)
- Solid texture painting skills
